Finally, after months of savings, a local mall promotion allowed me to grab a new camera - and having taken quite a few shots with my father's 400D in the last months, the obvious choice fell on its successor, the Eos 450D.

For now, I'm quite broken and won't be able to afford a macro lens of my own for some time, but I already started saving up again for the excellent Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro USM lens, which should be a substantial improvement on the EF-s 60mm I've used in the past.

Hi there dA, after uploading a few new pictures I took on Easter afternoon, I decided to try out the subscriber-only cookies

I wish I could take a few more pictures with my borrowed 400D, but Easter day was quite windy, and wind is macro photography's Enemy No.1 - I still got a few nice shots, I hope you like the square crops. Will be uploading a couple more as soon as I find time to edit the RAW files.
